The femoral nerve block is a core procedure in emergency medicine that you should dominate. You should strive to efficiently integrate it into your practice so that the block gets done quickly and effectively. Blocking the patient 3 hours after they have been laying around the department is better than nothing, but work to quickly consult ortho and the block on as soon as possible, your patients will thank you.
